OpenAI plans to bring Sora, its video generator, to ChatGPT. OpenAI continues to strengthen its position in the artificial intelligence sector. The company behind ChatGPT is in negotiations to establish a joint venture with private equity firms such as TPG, Brookfield, and Bain, aiming to accelerate the adoption of its AI technology, according to Bloomberg. Sources close to the process, who requested anonymity due to the confidential nature of the information, indicate that the new company could reach a pre-investment valuation of about $10 billion, with an estimated private equity contribution of $4 billion. TPG, Brookfield, and Bain have not made any statements regarding this. Meanwhile, Fidji Simo, CEO of applications at OpenAI, shared on social media that the initiative aims to create an implementation arm for its technology, although she avoided referring to details about partners, funding, or valuation. Reuters was the first outlet to report on these discussions. Both OpenAI and other companies in the sector are intensifying their efforts to attract enterprise clients willing to pay for their services, in order to cover high development costs and maintain their valuations. The financial services and healthcare sectors are some of the main focuses of these strategies. According to The Information, Anthropic, another key player in AI, is also negotiating with firms like Blackstone to launch a joint venture that promotes the adoption of its software Claude in the corporate sector. Last month, OpenAI introduced Frontier, a new tool designed to help organizations create and manage AI agents, simplifying the integration of this technology into business processes. “We are motivated not only to develop these technologies but also to provide multiple pathways for companies to implement them and achieve results,” Simo stated in her post.
