NotebookLM revolutionizes mobile use: you can now summarize videos and work with EPUB in Spain.
NotebookLM, the innovative generative AI tool, continues to evolve and now incorporates one of the most anticipated features by users in Spain: compatibility with EPUB files. Until now, the platform primarily allowed work with PDF files, but with this update, users can upload eBooks, novels, and manuals in EPUB format, significantly expanding the possibilities for consultation and research.
This new feature represents a significant advancement, as the EPUB format is widely used in eBooks due to its ability to adapt to different screen sizes, unlike PDF, which maintains a fixed layout. Thus, NotebookLM facilitates access to and analysis of long and complex texts, allowing users to consult Gemini about content from textbooks or literature, overcoming previous limitations.
The integration of EPUB responds to one of the most recurring requests from the community, as announced by NotebookLM on X (formerly Twitter). Thanks to this improvement, the AI can generate responses based on reliable sources provided by the user, reducing the risk of errors or "hallucinations" in responses, one of the main challenges of generative AI.
Additionally, NotebookLM has introduced new customization options for the infographics generated by the AI. Users can now choose from ten different styles, such as sketch, kawaii, professional, scientific, anime, clay, editorial, instructional, bento grid, and bricks. The orientation of the infographics (horizontal, vertical, or square) can also be modified, along with details like the level of information, style, color, or focus through custom prompts.
These updates, which began rolling out a few weeks ago, solidify NotebookLM as one of the most versatile and powerful tools for productivity, adapting to the fast pace of innovation in artificial intelligence.
