RZS Abogados has decided to strengthen its structure by creating a specialized area in digital law, a direct response to the growing need for companies to comply with regulations such as the Artificial Intelligence Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This new department will provide comprehensive advice on the legal responsibilities associated with the use of automated systems and AI technologies.
In parallel, the firm has announced the addition of Amal Ezzeddine and Román Cano as new partners. Ezzeddine, who will lead the new area alongside Natalia Álvarez, joined RZS a year ago and has a strong background in digital law and technology, having started her career in procedural and real estate law. She is recognized in the Woman Digital directory of the Junta de Andalucía, a member of Enatic and the Spanish Association of Executives, and actively participates in conferences on digital law.
Román Cano, on the other hand, is a lawyer with nearly ten years at RZS, specializing in civil and commercial litigation. In addition to his role as an advisor to the College of Commercial Agents of Seville and Province, he is a mediator, insolvency administrator, and a lecturer at the School of Art and Higher Design of Seville.
Founded in 1997 in Seville, RZS Abogados has Jerónimo Zamora López, Javier Romero Martínez-Cañavate, and Marta Serra Méndez as managing partners, and has offices in Seville and Madrid, with a team of nearly 50 professionals, of which 39 are lawyers. Traditionally multidisciplinary, the firm has strengthened its tax and insurance areas in recent years, consolidating its national presence.
