Inspired by the functionality of Google Lens, this feature allows users to point their camera at objects, places, or situations to receive detailed and personalized information. For example, you can show Google the parts of a computer to get assembly instructions, or focus on the cables of your home theater system for setup help, without needing to specify brands or models. The interface resembles the advanced voice modes of ChatGPT or Gemini, and it also allows you to type queries if you prefer. You just need to press the Transcribe button to open the conversation window and write your question. Search Live is based on Project Astra, a low-latency multimodal technology that enables the search engine to see and hear in real-time through the camera or microphone. This innovation, along with Project Mariner, is part of Google's strategy to integrate AI into all its services. For now, Search Live is only available in English and for users in the United States. Google has not announced dates for its arrival in other markets, although it is expected to expand to Latin America soon. In Europe, its rollout will depend on compliance with local regulations.
