Infosys and Anthropic Announce Strategic Alliance to Drive AI in Regulated Sectors
BENGALURU, India, February 17, 2026 – Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, has announced a strategic collaboration with Anthropic, a leading company in AI research and safety, to develop advanced AI solutions aimed at telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, and software development companies.
The initiative begins with the establishment of an Anthropic Center of Excellence dedicated to the telecommunications sector, where AI agents tailored to the specific operational needs of the industry will be designed and deployed. Subsequently, the collaboration will expand to other key sectors such as finance, manufacturing, and software engineering.
The core of this alliance lies in the integration of Anthropic's Claude models, including Claude Code, with the Infosys Topaz platform. This combination will enable companies to automate complex workflows, accelerate software delivery, and adopt AI under strict governance and transparency standards, which are essential in regulated industries.
Both companies share the goal of ensuring that AI generates real transformative value beyond operational efficiency. The collaboration aims to reinvent business operating models, combining Infosys's industry expertise with Anthropic's cutting-edge technology and large-scale engineering capabilities.
A central focus will be the development of agentic AI: systems capable of autonomously managing complex tasks such as claims processing, code generation and testing, or compliance reviews. Tools like Claude Agent SDK will allow companies to create AI agents that operate persistently in long and complex processes, also facilitating the modernization of legacy systems and reducing infrastructure upgrade costs.
Specific applications include:
- In telecommunications, AI agents will help modernize network operations, optimize customer lifecycle management, and improve service delivery.
- In financial services, AI will enable faster risk detection, automate compliance reporting, and personalize customer service.
- In manufacturing and engineering, Claude will accelerate product design and simulation, shortening R&D timelines and allowing for more iterations before production.
- In software development, Claude Code will facilitate writing, testing, and debugging code, speeding up the transition from design to production. Infosys is already using Claude Code internally to enhance its expertise and best practices.
Dario Amodei, CEO and co-founder of Anthropic, emphasized: “There is a significant difference between an AI model that works in a demonstration and one that meets the requirements of a regulated industry. Infosys brings the necessary industry expertise to bridge that gap, especially in telecommunications, finance, and manufacturing.”
For his part, Salil Parekh, CEO of Infosys, stated: “AI is redefining how industries operate and innovate. Our collaboration with Anthropic represents a strategic advancement to accelerate the value of AI in global enterprises, making them smarter, more resilient, and responsible.”
