Gemini 3 Flash, the latest version of Google's artificial intelligence, is now available in Spain and is noted for its speed and efficiency in everyday tasks. This model, which can be used for free, has been designed to provide faster responses and compress information more effectively, facilitating video analysis, data extraction, and the generation of complex visual responses.
However, a recent report from the independent group Artificial Analysis, cited by TechRadar, indicates that Gemini 3 Flash has a "hallucination" rate of 91% according to the AA-Omniscience parameter. This means that when faced with questions outside its knowledge or training, the system tends to generate fabricated answers instead of admitting it lacks the information. Although this behavior does not affect its overall performance, it highlights an excessive confidence in uncertain situations, a common challenge in current chatbots.
Despite this drawback, Gemini 3 Flash continues to lead in general-purpose testing and is distinguished by the frequency of these "hallucinations" in contexts where conclusive data does not exist. Google has implemented this model as the default in the Gemini app and in AI mode for search, allowing use by both individuals and businesses through Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise, as well as by developers via the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Gemini CLI, and the new Google Antigravity platform.
In summary, Gemini 3 Flash represents a significant advancement in Google's artificial intelligence, combining speed and versatility, although it still faces the challenge of better managing uncertainty in its responses.
