The Seville-based startup Tutrocito, specialized in custom furniture and located in Alcalá de Guadaíra, has been recognized as the best scaleup at the Al Andalus Innovation Venture 2025, winning the prestigious BME Award. This event, which gathered over 2,800 attendees, 810 startups, and nearly 200 investors in Seville, solidifies its position as one of the main meetings in the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The award was presented by Francisco Javier González Navarro, General Director of Entrepreneurship Promotion and Continuous Training of the Junta de Andalucía, and Jesús González Nieto-Márquez from BME Growth. Tutrocito stood out among the 24 finalist scaleups for its scalability, impact, and leadership in innovation. Its founders, Darius Molnar, Jorge Geniz, and María Coronel, will now access an exclusive program from Bolsas y Mercados Españoles focused on stock market expansion.
Al Andalus Innovation Venture, held at the Pabellón de la Navegación, exceeded all expectations in its fourth edition, growing in attendees, startups, corporations, and investors compared to the previous year. The event reinforced its value proposition with an expanded program and current themes, such as generative artificial intelligence, green hydrogen, the role of women in the ecosystem, and the mental health of entrepreneurs. Three stages hosted industry leaders, including Antonio Catalán (NH and AC Hotels), Yago Arbeloa (MIO Group), Pablo Fernández (Clidrive), and Hugo Arévalo (ThePowerMBA), as well as top investors like Laura González-Estéfani (TheVentureCity), Stephan de Moraes (Indico Capital), and Aquilino Peña (Kibo Ventures).
Artificial intelligence and green hydrogen were the undeniable protagonists. Green hydrogen, considered key for the energy transition, was the focus of one of the most relevant sessions, featuring experts like Iker Marcaide (Zubi Group and Matteco) and Francisco Montalbán (Andalusian Hydrogen Cluster). Meanwhile, AI took center stage on the second day, with innovations such as Digital Twins of Consumer Markets (Oscar Cordón, University of Granada), AI Gigafactories (Javier Bau, Eviden), and practical solutions from Renaiss.ai and Guadaltel for digital transformation and administrative efficiency.
Female entrepreneurship played a prominent role, supported by Cámaras Andalucía and the Junta de Andalucía, with participation from leaders like Isabel Pérez Segura (Chibika Capital), Estefanía Ferrer (Lico Cosmetics), and María del Mar Fuentes (Andalusian Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Observatory). Additionally, high-impact initiatives were presented, such as the European startup incubator for the space sector, led by Gracia Catalina (ESA BIC Andalucía), and Spain's participation in the EU Chip Design Platform, explained by Macarena Martínez (Seville Microelectronics Institute).
Other innovative projects presented included a new center for robotics and urban air mobility with drones, driven by Guillermo Heredia (University of Seville), and advancements in healthtech for tissue regeneration, led by Ozren Bogdanovic (Andalusian Center for Developmental Biology).
The success of the event was supported by strong public-private collaboration, with the Junta de Andalucía as the Main Partner, the City Council of Seville as the Gold Partner, and support from entities such as ICEX, SETT, Trenlab, Renaiss AI, EIT Food, Santander Startups, Enisa, Acciona, CDTI, among others.
Al Andalus Innovation Venture 2025 thus confirms its role as a driver of innovation and an essential meeting point for entrepreneurship and investment in Spain.
