Substrate AI, the Spanish firm specialized in artificial intelligence and listed on BME Growth, has secured a new investment of $1.1 million from Ascent Partners. This capital injection will allow the company to strengthen its business of selling AI computing services through its Substrate Cloud platform.
In October 2026, Substrate AI launched its Sovereign AI Cloud platform, which offers computing capacity and Nvidia GPU services under an "as a service" model, aimed at both training and inference of artificial intelligence models. During 2025, the company achieved its first revenues and clients in this segment, and for 2026, it expects to reach a turnover of 7 million euros, as announced in November. To achieve this goal, the company plans to expand its team and enhance its marketing efforts.
Substrate AI's cloud computing proposal is complemented by the development of its AI factories, the first of which is located in Talavera de la Reina, and the Serenity Star platform, designed for the creation and management of intelligent agents. Thus, Substrate AI offers a comprehensive solution for companies looking to scale their artificial intelligence projects, covering both computing infrastructure and tools for agent development.
Interest in artificial intelligence continues to grow among companies and public administrations, and Substrate AI is positioned to meet the diverse needs of these sectors, regardless of project size.
Ascent Partners, a U.S. family office with investments in technology in Europe and the United States, has been backing Substrate AI since the fall of 2025, when they agreed on long-term financing of $2.2 million, expandable to another $2.2 million. Now, Substrate AI is executing the first part of this agreement to boost the development of Substrate Cloud.
The operation has been formalized through two-year convertible notes, which Ascent Partners can convert into shares at any time, as communicated to the market.
