Veeam has acquired Securiti AI, a firm specializing in data security management, privacy, governance, and trust in artificial intelligence, for $1.725 billion. This strategic move will enable Veeam to develop an AI-driven data platform capable of visualizing, protecting, governing, and recovering information in both production environments and backups, AI workflows, cloud, or on-premises.
With the integration, Securiti AI's 600 employees join Veeam, enhancing its expertise in AI security, privacy management, and regulatory compliance. Rehan Jalil, founder and CEO of Securiti AI, takes on the role of President of Security and AI at Veeam.
Anand Eswaran, CEO of Veeam, emphasizes that “investment in AI is growing rapidly, but nearly 90% of enterprise projects fail due to a lack of reliable data. Secure large-scale AI requires controlled and recoverable data, not just good models.” Eswaran highlights that the partnership with Securiti AI allows them to offer a unique platform that integrates resilience, security, privacy, governance, and trust in AI, providing customers with total control over their data and confidence to move towards intelligent systems.
The new integration from Veeam enables organizations to incorporate Data Platform's data protection management and automation into ServiceNow workflows. The Veeam App for ServiceNow provides bi-directional, policy-based orchestration for backups and recovery directly from the ServiceNow AI platform, with complete auditing, real-time synchronization, and compliance reporting.
This solution allows for decentralized backup management, optimizes incident response, and improves visibility while maintaining security and business control. The integration acts as a bridge between Veeam's infrastructure and IT service management workflows, enabling ServiceNow users to monitor and automate data protection without leaving the platform.
John Jester, Chief Revenue Officer of Veeam, states that “by combining Veeam's resilience and security with ServiceNow's ITSM automation, we help customers simplify operations, accelerate recovery, and be audit-ready in a complex regulatory environment.”
The Veeam App for ServiceNow is aimed at regulated sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and finance, as well as companies seeking data protection and automation, business continuity, and enhanced organizational intelligence through the integration of Veeam data into ServiceNow.
The application also facilitates audits, reporting, and regulatory compliance through a secure, policy-based platform, allowing for self-service operations and role-based backup management. The Veeam App for ServiceNow is now available for free to customers of the Advanced and Premium editions of Veeam Data Platform in the ServiceNow store.
